| ... might be started can be squashed by a 4-6-3 double play Heyward hits into....got it. Lackey will be fine and give the Cubs a good chance to win. Span was a guy I wanted along with Zimmerman and Lackey, rather than the steaming pile Heyward. Span is a solid player. |

I said before he was signed that I wanted Denard Span and Jordan Zimmermann and they signed for less money than what they gave Heyward alone. |

| I guess that is what $200M gets nowadays. I believe it was $184 million, but there is no doubt they would have been better off signing Denard Span or another better option. He's a superior defensive outfielder and a good base runner. but that is offset by his ineptitude batting. He hits more ... |
