I don’t know why Wahlberg just doesn’t come out and apologize for being smarter than Michelle Williams .

Williams is an artist who makes art. Wahlberg gets paid to be in movies.

Nicely put!

Which also explains why before this, I had no idea who she is. Or cared to know.

she was in Destiny's Child

Oh, I get it now, the plain one included to just make the others look, feel and sound better by comparison.

SJWs win again!

Quote:
Actor Mark Wahlberg said in a statement Saturday that he will donate his $1.5 million reshoot fee for the film “All The Money in the World” after drawing criticism over how much more he made from reshooting the film compared to co-star Michelle Williams.

“I 100% support the fight for fair pay,” Wahlberg said via a statement on Twitter, “and I’m donating the $1.5 million to the Time’s Up Legal Defense Fund in Michelle Williams’ name.”

Shoutout officially rescinded; douchebagging imposed in its place.

The "Times Up" thing is an invention by the two major Hollywood agencies to deflect attention away from Hollywood. It's their version of the NFL's "Heads Up" football initiative.

Go look at the site. It uses heavy wording about "board rooms" and "workplaces". It has almost nothing about Hollywood or the entertainment industry that isn't also about business in general.

Here are a few samples. Notice a trend.
Quote:
TIME’S UP is a unified call for change from women in entertainment for women everywhere. From movie sets to farm fields to boardrooms alike, we envision nationwide leadership that reflects the world in which we live.

Quote:
Powered by women, TIME’S UP addresses the systemic inequality and injustice in the workplace that have kept underrepresented groups from reaching their full potential. We partner with leading advocates for equality and safety to improve laws, employment agreements, and corporate policies; help change the face of corporate boardrooms and the C-suite; and enable more women and men to access our legal system to hold wrongdoers accountable.

Quote:
Nearly half of working women in the U.S. say they have experienced harassment in the workplace.

Quote:
Sexual harassment is pervasive across industries, but especially in low-wage service jobs. For example, more than 25% of sexual harassment charges filed with the EEOC in the last decade came from industries with service-sector workers.

So I’m guessing Michelle Williams didn’t give an obvious and enthusiastic yes when agreeing to reshoots for $1,000?
