Again, him being "good" isn't the issue. It's actually better if he is "good". The concern is that they'd have a 3rd straight top ten all time quarterback. He's not that and his massive payday is coming.

How do you know this already or do you just keep like reading yourself typing this?

My prediction is that Jordan Love is not going to make the Hall Of Fame. You can tell me I am wrong and that Jordan Love will make the Hall Of Fame if you want. We can then see who was right.

I am not saying anything because there is absolutely no way of knowing anything like that yet.

Love may end up being good enough to get a cap killing contract like Kyler Murray or Daniel Jones.

"I don't know" is a lot different than "You are wrong".

I don't think you know what he is. You were convinced he sucked a few months ago.

You don't know either. He has sucked at times. He has been really good at times.

I would say he has had 6 not so good games and 6 really good games.

That’s true but the key has been he’s strung together 5 of those and improved in each. That provides hope. As RFDC noted, we still don’t know what he will be but at he doesn’t look like a bust. If he finishes the season strong (4 out 5 at above average) then it will have been a successful season.

I’m confident saying I know he’ll be average at best.

That said, if I’m Green Bay, I throw him the mahomes contract now just in case.

He is on pace to throw for over 4000 yards, around 32 tds and 14 interceptions, if you would have asked before the year if I would be pleased with out of a 1st year starter, I would gladly accept it.

Where did I state the words “you are wrong”?

He also has a lower QB rating than Justin Fields.

That's the point. I don't think Jordan Love is going to the HOF. You can choose to agree or disagree with that statement if you want.

You (& BRick) can hope for that but if he finishes strong then I’m good with an extension. It’s definitely better than having to use another high draft pick on an unknown.

It's been my opinion for a while that you would rather have a quarterback who is terrible(Fields) than it is to have a quarterback who is average or even above average and highly paid. I'd much rather be the Bears over the Broncos with Wilson or the Vikings with Cousins.

The only Super Bowl winner in recent memory who hasn't had a QB who is either cheap or a future HOF player are the Rams. Peyton Manning with the Broncos is also something you could argue with given he wasn't at that level with them that year but it still technically fits.

Easy to say in the Brady era too.

The trend I am pointing out seems to go at least through the 90s. Cheap QB or future HOF QB and more recently it is better to have both. Stafford seems to be the only real outlier if he doesn't make the HOF.

He hasn't been average recently. He's been playing like a top 5 QB for a month now with the youngest offense in the NFL.

So do you think Jordan Love ends up in the HOF or not?

I don't know, his first season starting looks a lot like many other HOFers though.

I look forward to him being paid according to that potential.

The team stunk tonight and he was right there with them . I am still good with him being the Packers quarterback going forward, tell me your thoughts on Fields please?

I think love is a decent QB. Like Fields he has some real bad misses on throws, though. Some are just unexplainable how bad they are. Like Fields sometimes.

Is he getting his $50 million a year or not? Hopefully he throws for 6 touchdowns against the Panthers.

It may be down to $45 million a year.

Hoping that last game of the year Jan 7th has Packer playoff implications just to make it a bit more interesting for both fan bases.
