I don't think that's a good idea if only for the simple fact I don't want to hear JLN reference it 100 times. |

I've never seen anyone as desperate for attention, yet lacking the proper skills to obtain it, than Steve. |

Kaepernick may well get signed by a team that experiences an injury to their starter and is desperate, but he makes no sense as a backup who would draw negative attention to the team. He might have made sense as a starter to a couple teams like the Jets, but apparently they didn't feel like his skills fit their offensive schemes. For people to want to protest about it seems ridiculous. Not going to change anything. |

Of all the people that will be protesting NFL games because Kaepernick doesn't have a job in the NFL, what percentage know that Kaep opted out of his contract for 2017? |

I think he could have a job with another team also - if he really wanted one. I think it helps his cause if he doesn't and think he want to play the martyr. |

Is that relevant to the thought that he's being blackballed for his social beliefs? Well, not opting out of the contract is one way to prevent blackballing, no? His reworked deal gave him an option for this year at $16.5 million base, and given the Niners' QB situation, it was essentially his choice whether he would be on the team. And even if they DID cut him, such workings would only bolster his claims of collusion. Just seems odd that people are so upset that a guy doesn't have a job in the NFL anymore in part because he chose to not have a job in the NFL. |

You offer such compelling choices. Well, we could just kill them. I notice in these discussions many people act as if there are tons of good paying jobs available to anyone willing to work a little or "improve themselves" Im not sure there are enough jobs anymore in general. There has to be a place for the high school educated only person or we are screwed. IMO, the answer is in the skilled trades. Oh? |

It's that they think he's being treated unfairly in his current situation. |

The only major takeaway is that he may simply not want an NFL job since he already turned down a job that would pay much more than he should have expected on the open market with a qb situation that was bad enough he had a good chance of playing. |

I'm not combing through this entire thread, but has Kaepernick actually worked out anywhere recently? Maybe, just maybe, he's bad at football? |
