So I'm at work today reviewing some dude's auto policy. I see he has a 1978 AMC Pacer rated as a collector vehicle and insured for about 20 grand

I finished laughing and decided to look where this dude is.

Wisconsin

It made perfect sense after that.

The first thing wrong in that sentence is the use of "to" when, obviously, "too" should have been used.
Then I'm scratching my head thinking "with BUTTER??"

Took me a minute to get it.

Maybe.

But to answer the earlier question, from my experience, two, count'em two girlfriends fit comfortably in the back of hatchback. Maybe more, but one current (soon to be ex) and her soon to be replacement were all that were handy that night.

;)

I mean really, some of us are blessed with stamping parties, others with girlfriends(and their friends) with morally casual attitudes.

Oddly enough, the same gf almost was involved in yet another motor vehicle story of a young RR. ;)

Of course there was.

RR never said he could fit back there with them.

????

You call them shifts. I simply called it manners. One for you & then one for you. Two for you and one, two for you. And so on, and on....and on.

& I was a very well mannered young RR

And Doc, of course it was a stick shift, no self respecting man would converse with two young lovelies, one lovelier than the other in an 'automatic' Z car.

A man Must have standards. (Harumph)

Yeah, but at the age of 20 it was more of a nuisance. Not discouraged mind you, but the ringside bell ringing had to be honored.

While that remark, as crude as it was offered, ordinarily might cause you to receive quite the thrashing, in this happy, gauzy state of remembrance, I'll just say that now, perhaps not.

But damn if I wouldn't try were I single. (They're both still quite hot. Even 23 yrs. later)

No, but the parking brake was something of a pain.

Never said the 280ZX Turbo (cool enough for you? ;)) was mine.

But, I was never cool. I just was just something of the wolf.

Or North Shore stamping parties.

I'd even arrange for a second hatchback if I did

I'd consider it an all time low if some goof ball was telling a message board full of other goofballs that I had a 3 some with him in a 10 year old hatchback that wasn't even his. Only way it'd be worse if he says he took them out for fast food after made them pay and then ran out of gas.

 I am old(er).

But since you must know, lets just say that I used to know how to use a dent puller. In fact, I was once caught in yet another Z (sporting the old Z's plates) in another state....and talked my way out of not only a ticket, but a certain felony charge that would have cost me at least 4-5 months.

And rest assured, that wasn't the fun hatchback.

Do anything for you Spaulding?!? :P

Couldn't you steal a better car? Maybe Reason was right about you all along.

Again, the fun car was legal, the other one, well lets just say in 1988 it was remarkably easy to pull the ignition of a Japanese car/motorcycle. And that car (which I didn't steal) was just about it at the time.

And....so....if you didn't then, what DID you do???? College in a farm town was fun huh?!? :p

That's a good friend to let you mess his car like that.

Lit a lot of candles in my life. I started dating my husband end of freshman year in college.

He was/is a pretty good friend. But, I talked his way out of a felony charge once as well, amongst other wingman moves, so we were even.

Oddly enough, I started dating my (I thought) future wife at the same time (2nd Sem. FR. yr.). That she got cold feet during my Jr./Sr. summer, um...changed my dating disposition.

:( ;)
