But anyway, as I said earlier, I'm glad your 6-3, 255 lb first baseman has finally shown he can slightly out slug (but still have a lesser BA, OBP, SLG and OPS) a 5-6 second baseman. Congratulations.

This is a weird post. All of that applies to your boy Rizzo too

"Jose Abreu doesn't have Jose Altuve power" is not the same thing as 'Altuve had a better 2016 than Abreu did.'

'Kris Bryant doesn't have Tim Anderson power' is an absurd thing to say, correct? Even though that since the All Star break its true, its still a patently moronic thing to believe.

You are the gift that keeps on giving, IMU. You asked earlier how I get thru the day. Laughing at your posts helps a lot of the time.

Ouch. Throw in the damn towel already, IMU. It's hard to keep watching this.

I never once attempted to claim that Rizzo is the premier power hitting first baseman in the league, so I guess I'm not bothered by it?

I figured it would somehow be related to you finding distractions from your own life.

Ah, going down the road of attempting to attack somebody's personal life again. As I said, you're the gift that keeps on giving!

Pretty pretty pretty good.

Given the amount of money you have paid in rent over the last many years, this is a 100% truthful statement.

Ask me how much I've spent in repairs, landscaping, appliances and insurance over the same years.

So far, I haven't minded, at all, paying a premium for peace of mind.

 Hearing you talk about what you pay for rent vs what I pay to own a home I am confident I have spent far less than you.

I'm getting hammered because I can afford to pay a lot in rent?

I also pay the extra $2.10 for guacamole at Chipotle!

Another poor assessment. Abreu currently has a higher OPS, oWAR, more doubles, higher slg%, batting avg, and they are tied in HRs.

After last night, Abreu is at a .911 OPS, Rizzo is at .914 OPS.

I'm going to need you to be accurate if you want to continue discussing baseball.

Well, Abreu is seven points higher when adjusted for the fact that he plays in the league that is 30 games above .500 head to head against the league Rizzo plays in.

Poor JORR. Gay for Trump and gay for Abreu.

Poor leash and IMU. Sabrmetrics are better except for when they aren't, and then they never were.

If JORR wants to use OPS+, I'm down. Considering that puts Altuve WAY above Abreu.

Its really too bad that the 6' 3" 240lb first basemen of the northside cannot even compare with the OPS+ put up by a puny little 5' 6" second baseman.

Jose Altuve is a Top 5 hitter. Rizzo is not. Abreu is not.

As an objective baseball fan, I can recognize that the best players in the league don't necessarily all play on my favorite team.

I don't get insulted by. I don't get ashamed by it. I don't get defensive about it.

You fucked up by helping get me interested in baseball. These arguments are so much easier now.

Altuve is a better hitter and player than Abreu(and Rizzo) nobody ever disputed that, ever. ISO tells us all we need to know about their respective power, outside of last year's fluke season.

A subjective poster would not be able to determine an objective baseball fan.

Fair enough. I can't foresee it passing basketball and football for me personally, but I'm shocked it's actually moved from a distant to close third in regard to those sports.
