I think we can call it.

1.000 OPS and a 2.9 ERA. How does he not destroy the WAR record? He's sitting at only 7.5. Somehow we have to get this man some effort points or something.

Some people are saying he broke WAR. I've seen people say he should get something for replacing 2 players and that a hitting pitcher isn't valued properly in the AL. I suppose at the end of the season they'll go back and decide if his season was valued properly. I think he's projected to finish around 10 but he's been pitching really well for awhile now and Trout will give him some protection when he comes back which should be soon.

I've seen people dismiss his season by comparing him with Bonds 2002 season. What would a BALCO version of Ohtani look like?

He was trying to pull everything until last week. Now he's using the whole field again. Now we need to get Trout going.

Its been different this year. Trout hasn't really gotten going yet and Ohtani hasn't been his usual self and the other guys have stepped up. I don't know why Ohtani was trying to pull everything but it looks like he's finally realized he needs to go with the pitch when they're working him outside. Trout changed his swing for more launch angle and its been a disaster. He can't even catch up to 94 right now. I don't know what the hell is going on there. I hope its his swing and not his back.

He's content to go the other way now. Amazing power to opposite field.

I know he can hit anything, but going upstairs to him only makes him stronger.

I think that number is approaching $700M. I would offer him $400M for 4 years.

He's going to be a Dodger. That's why they have been laying in the weeds in FA the past couple of years

Money isn't a top priority with Ohtani. People forget he signed for $600,000 when he could have signed as a veteran free agent if he waited a year. He's already the highest paid player with endorsements.

That's what they all say, before they sign a record contract.

I thought he didn't like them. Besides, he wants to win. The Dodgers haven't won a WS in 40 years.

Who else has left that kind of money on the table? Nobody. I think he's already proven he's a different guy. He really just cares about baseball.

Doubtful. Sickos like Brady and Jordan, who even when they're sleeping, are running plays, are a dying breed.

Dodgers won the World Series 2020 in the Texas bubble. And they’ve been to the playoffs like 15 straight years.

I think Nas is deliberately discounting the 2020 season, but I also think he's giving the Dodgers short shrift for all of their other success.

It may have a vesting setup so that he only maximizes if he keeps on both hitting and pitching, but 8/540 guaranteed and a team option for another 3/210... no opt outs, no trades.
