Just for fun, what is the argument for Love being better than Purdy?

We aren't even saying equal. You are saying Love is better than Purdy.

Yeah I don't think they are equal. I think Brock is pretty good but I am certain Love is better.

The argument would be that Brock is benefitting from the best surrounding offensive talent in the NFL. We have seen QBs we know are bad like Jimmy G and Nick Mullens have a lot of success in the same system. The only QB in a similar system to Love recently is Aaron Rodgers, and 2023 Love outperformed 2022 Rodgers.

*looks up Nick Mullens stats*
*rereads "Nick Mullens ha(d) a lot of success in the same system"*

you also said that you could easily rattle off 14 qb's that were better or as good, and gave us a list of 12 and muttered about a few other guys without committing. Who are the other two that put Love at 15 in your opinion?

I listed them earlier but I knew they would be the ones you would throw off first so I didn't include them.

Wilson and Mayfield.

so you personally wold rather have Baker Mayfield or Russell Wilson lead your team over Love right now?

or Kirk Cousins?

Russell Wilson

When box score scouting and not watching the games goes wrong.

He probably won't have a job next year.

He had his ups and downs, but he finished strong. Id say he is hovering around QB10 right now, and he and the team are looking really promising. We will see what he does in the playoffs, that's really where the rubber meets the road. I know there aren't 14 QB's id rather have than him at this point.

I like how you went from "brick be brick'n" to "He's not 14th but probably more like 10-12th".

But you are brick'n. It's an objective fact. You've taken 17 games of the youngest football team that's made the playoffs and Bricked all over it.

I wouldn't want to accept this Packers talking point about "youngest team" so uncritically. Factually they may still be the "youngest team" by average of a few months or days but I think 50% of the leagues top ten youngest teams made the playoffs anyway, and it would have been 60% had the Jaguars not lost Lawrence to injury. As for the oldest teams, only 40% or so of the top ten oldest made the playoffs. So the fact that the Packers made it as one of the youngest seems rather unremarkable when viewed against what's happening around the league. It's still quite disappointing that a team led by a four year veteran in love under the tutelage of an experienced coaching staff was only able to back into the playoffs once a better team's QB went down. CJ Stroud meanwhile, a rookie, coasted into the playoffs with no sweat. Love should take notes.

Well they are the youngest team to make the playoffs since the 16 game schedule was implemented (1978).

That Nick Mullens argument is one of the worst ones I've ever seen.

He had a lot of passing yards in his first 13 starts!

Ignore he also threw for 17 touchdowns and 15 interceptions.

Mayfield and Love are similar. You seem to be intentionally ignoring that from the start some of the players I had listed as equals.

Wilson didn't work out well in Denver but a lot of that is simply his contract. He's not worth what he is paid.

Yes. Cousins was pretty great through 8 games. He's highly paid but Love will be too.

It's certainly no worse than "Russell Wilson who just got benched for Jarret Stidham might be better than Jordan Love"

I don't think it's any better or worse than QBR or QB Rating. All of them are just weighing different factors subjectively in order to produce a singular number to compare players at the position. I think all have their flaws and benefits.

After watching tonight, I will most definitely take Love over Arya.

Edit: I don’t know how Tua autocorrected to Arya, but I like it.

Feeling very good about the Love/Tua bets. He may not even have a job next year and dolphin can get out that way

Fields cult out in full force claiming Fields would be an upgrade over Tua if Miami were to make a move.

Brock Purdy = Mason Rudolph with a better offensive scheme and Brandon Rice.

Well Tua may be out of the league next year according to you. So, not a great bet.

I don't think he will be out of the league. Maybe you missed it, but the entire discussion since the game ended is should Miami keep him.

If he ends up not starting anywhere and the bet is voided I dont care, my point would still be proven correct.

Yet he outperformed Love and you don't think he is even worth starting in the league.
