At some point this society forgot that dogs are animals, not people and "family members". I don't like animals and I don't want to be around your fucking dog.

At some point, the airlines started treating people like animals.

Pets are absolutely family members. Now, I don't believe that they should be able to have the freedom and run around the entire cabin during a flight. However there has to be some steps and assurance from the airline that if your dog is put in a carrier under the plane, s/he is going to get from point A to point B safely.

"I don't like animals and don't want to be around them" is not a valid argument, and in fact its a terrible viewpoint to have and an incredibly short-sighted and narrow minded way to go through life.

I've adopted stray cats and dogs for years, but I must admit to being baffled by the extremes that many pet "lovers" go to and the degree to which they'll rail against human beings who reasonably don't like animals or want to be stuck in close proximity to other people's animals.

Thats fine, everybody has a right to their own opinion..know this though, tens of millions of us like dogs more than many people..we prefer to be around a dog or animal more so than many people.

I have a compromise here.

We let some pets ride in the main cabin and America has to ride in the cargo hold.
