Don't forget apparently going to WBBM. They'll probably be the 1st big 4 team to sell ads on their game jerseys. What a clown operation.

Extending Fleita's contract while the GM's job was open was a bad move. It was a Kenney move.

It could cost Ricketts about $1 million if he winds up paying Fleita his full salary over the next three years. This, of course, is business as usual for the Cubs as they finish the transition from Tribune Co. to the Ricketts family.

Accounting by CSN Chicago finds that with Fleita the Cubs now will have paid about $49 million to players, managers, coaches and executives who no longer work for them. That sounds to me like a crazy way to run the business.

Kenney must give the best blow job because his business acumen is nonexistent.

And having Kenney make the rounds to the media this week is like sending Donald Sterling out to defend his racist comments.

Even the players laugh and are sick of at Ricketts/Kenney:

The Daily CCO: Rizzo and the Players are Tired of Just Hearing about Wrigley Restoration Plans
May 31, 2014 9:35 am By Neil

Anthony Rizzo did not start on Friday night for the first time this season, but he had plenty to say before his teammates were bashed by the Brewers at Miller Park.

According to multiple reports, Anthony Rizzo was asked about the latest news concerning the restoration of Wrigley Field and admitted he and the players “are sick of hearing it’s going to be done and just want to see it get done.”

Rizzo follows the news and updates on the project. Rizzo said he and the players know the facilities are going to be updated, but they would like to see progress because the players are tired of just hearing about what’s going to happen.

Rizzo told the beat writers, “I’ve only been here for a few years, and guys before me have heard it before, that changes were going to happen and I don’t know what’s going on. Obviously it’s not my job to do it. Obviously we all want it. But when guys are promised things that are going to happen and they don’t happen, they’re not happy about it. When it gets done it’s going to be great. Now it’s just kind of ‘OK, when it gets done it gets done. We’re not going to have our hopes up or anything.”

Want shit on a Saturday afternoon?

Just trot out the worthless James Russell. Enters the game tied at 2, leaves down 5-2.

Excellent way to help add another loss and improve that draft pick position!

Isn't there some former 1st round draft pick floundering in the minors that we can pick up for this Duck Dynasty batting practice "pitcher"? Or maybe a couple cases of toilet paper to be named later??

Dem minor league players better perform next year. I get the philosophy and it looks promising but they better hit on most.

AJ Pierzynski is on fire for the Cardinals today. He's 3 for 4 with an RBI. Bad 7th inning for Cubs.

Yea....there are certain players who shouldn't be on the roster.

Barney was one and Russell is the other. Nate the great would be another.

Sweeney and his .220 BA can go also and Lake needs to go see the Manny doctor in Iowa.

Why was Ramirez demoted to Iowa? His 0.96 ERA and 0.93 WHIP were endangering The Plan?

They are just giving him a break and they needed a fresh arm after E Jax and Wood have been shelled lately.

He needs a break after 6.2 innings in the month of July, and 28 innings for the year? WTF?

I wonder if they want to stretch him into a starter.

They also want to limit his interaction with James Russell.
