Having some fun with their jumbotron. Also, kudos to these Cubs fans for playing along.

Oh, fuck this, it's the same dumb shit the Dallas Stars do when the Blackhawks are in town, as if the best team money could buy in '99 wasn't responsible for anyone giving a damn about their team. To hear it from them, they were rooting for Dino Ciccarelli in Bloomington and the franchise just so happened to land in their town.

CH swoops in and makes an obscure Canadian Ice Soccer post that only about 15 people globally can comprehend.

Clearly, more Cubs fans attend road games at Great American Ball Park than Sox fans attend home games at the Cell.

To be fair, the Stars do this type of thing for every team that visits. Usually it's pretty funny.

Them and the Kings have the best scoreboard ops and social media guys

Most of the high-larious Stars stuff I see boils down to "Chicago is a shithole and Hawks fans are fake and obnoxious," "Detroit is a shithole and Wings fans are fake and obnoxious," or "Winnipeg is a shithole and Jets fans are fake and obnoxious." I'm not impressed. There's an ugly strain of classism to Southern hockey fans that makes sense when you consider real-ass southerners never went in for this Yankee ice-soccer bullshit in the first place; it's all nerds with roots in midwest/northeast burbs who live in McMansions and want to use the n-word but can't.

You must have missed their announced attendance for the 1st home game after the inauguration.

I suppose I could see this stuff as funny if I were a reds fan. However, I looked at the crowd today during rizzo' and Votto's bombs and it was embarrassing for the reds. There were at least as many Cubs fans there and as reds fans and there were more red seats than either. It's a Saturday afternoon game at a pretty cool ballpark. That turnout is sad....very sad.
