Yesterday he did his broadcast for the Veterans from 6 pm - 7 pm. I was in the audience with a military friend of mine. It was a good show and a nice show of support for our Veterans from Laurence.

I think Laurence is a good guy whose heart is usually in the right place when he acts.

I do find it hilarious that he puts on his tough guy persona (which is fake) when he really is just a comic book nerd in reality. I'd have more respect for him if he just lived up to that since it's what he truly is.

It always made me laugh how he bigtimed bigfan and bigfan hated him for it.

Yeah, but Laurence tried to bait them with a liberal view: he asked what they think of random people that "thank them for their service." This is something typically right-leaning people do--buy a guy in uniform a drink at a bar, for example.

What he wanted: "unwanted' unneeded' unnecessary."

What he got from retired servicemen: "I always appreciated it. Now I buy young guys in uniform breakfast or drinks (specifically noting Great Lakes guys)."

No, I honestly think Laurence was genuinely interested in their responses.

The only act he performed in either of those instances was radio theater

If he embraced his true nerd self, he'd be a lot better to listen to. He's the son of a professor. He was raised to be a nerd and should embrace that persona since it isn't a facade like his tough guy act.

But I wouldn't approve of that persona. You should know better.

I know I made it on this board when someone created a mult to troll me. Seriously though, PM me who you are. I'll buy you a beer for the lulz.

This week I obtained the following email, which Steve Harvey sent to his staff at the start of the current season:

Good morning, everyone. Welcome back.

I’d like you all to review and adhere to the following notes and rules for Season 5 of my talk show.

There will be no meetings in my dressing room. No stopping by or popping in. NO ONE.

Do not come to my dressing room unless invited.

Do not open my dressing room door. IF YOU OPEN MY DOOR, EXPECT TO BE REMOVED.

My security team will stop everyone from standing at my door who have the intent to see or speak to me.

I want all the ambushing to stop now. That includes TV staff.

You must schedule an appointment.

I have been taken advantage of by my lenient policy in the past. This ends now. NO MORE.

Do not approach me while I’m in the makeup chair unless I ask to speak with you directly. Either knock or use the doorbell.

I am seeking more free time for me throughout the day.

Do not wait in any hallway to speak to me. I hate being ambushed. Please make an appointment.

I promise you I will not entertain you in the hallway, and do not attempt to walk with me.

If you’re reading this, yes, I mean you.

Everyone, do not take offense to the new way of doing business. It is for the good of my personal life and enjoyment.

Thank you all,

Steve Harvey

Wow. What a diva. Goff once told me "Brothers never behave like divas". Guess he was wrong.

Goff knows very little about "the community" he often drones on about -

I want something similar.

I don't like you guys just talking to me out of no where. If you want to ask me something or engage me in a conversation I want to get a PM first. We'll schedule the time. Same goes for all insults of me. I want a notification in a PM before you post the insult.

Agreed?

She is exactly the type of woman you'd think Holmes would marry.
