Wake up at 12:15 hot as hell. Discovered that a blackout in the area triggered the circuit breaker for my ac unit to flip. Another frosty tequila drink since I now can't sleep.

It really blows since I know that I'll be suffering the curse of the old and be up again at 5:30 am.

Be better tomorrow and hopefully we have a nice long fall. I'm okay with winter (none of that polar vortex bs though) but fall temps are probably my favorite.

While I would miss pool and beach time I have to say Fall is in fact my favorite season.

We're baling hay this afternoon if anybody needs a little exercise. Could use an extra hand in the hay mow.

I can offer cold beverage and swimming after- we have a pool AND a pond. The pond would be good for you.

Mowed a very large field yesterday. Tuesday should be a blast but at least it’s round bales and not small squares. No desire to do those in a week like this.

Walked 18 this morning. Probably could have wrung out my shirt in the parking lot.

This was only ten acres. I merely play farmer on TV and Message Board. It's not even a hobby, more of a fetish. it really wasn't that hot or humid, I should say. I had to stack the final 50 bales from the last wagon of first cutting up there in order to drop today's bales, and didn't pass out more than once or twice. A nice breeze out in the field, and I got more help than I planned on. But, my extra help is my buddy who farms full-time, and used to make 15-20K small squares a year- he can't stand any under 60 pounds, even on my wagons. Tightened that chamber up so the strings are singing!

Sometimes at end of the year when I look at the the balance I’m not sure why the heck I’m doing it. Running a 15 foot disc mower and it took over 12 hours. Better not rain until the forecast is saying. Then it better rain.

The most real summer I can recall since 2012. Love the temps this year. Too bad we can't enjoy concerts, baseball, and festivals.

Still enjoying other outdoor activities and trying to take advantage as much as possible.

Rain's been short this year, hasn't it?

Depends on where you are but for north western Illinois yes. East central Illinois has serious water issues last I saw but I don’t follow. It’s been spotty but this is the driest I remember since 2012 which was the worst drought in Illinois since 1988. 88 was bad, Yellowstone fires. We are lucky in that their is good subsoil moisture because of last years record rains. Won’t help on the hills. We are unlucky as the driest part of summer is about to start and won’t end till mid August. One or two timely rains and everything will be fine.

I really like hot weather. I drink a lot of fluids and do yard work typically or go for long walks. I have always liked to break into a good sweat as it cleans out the pores. Than a nice dip in the pool followed by a shower. Afterwards, I feel rejuvenated.

81 degree dewpoint today. That is fucked up man. Tomorrow might be worse. Today might have been the worst day I've spent at work in 11 years. 2012 summer was bad. It was hot but dry af. Today....? I'm not sure I remember 81 degree dewpoints anytime recently. That shit is dangerous.
