Going to pick her up later today. 1 year old Great Pyr who's had a rough start. Dropped off at the rescue covered in fleas and they had to shave her. She's very timid but sweet. Sorry I couldn't figure out how to resize the photo.

They are good dogs. We had one for years that was a third hand dog. Somone had run over her and the owners didn't fix her broken pelvis or dislocated elbow the way they should of. She was kind of gimpy but a very sweet dog.

Looks like a good dog. Here's hoping you are a better owner than Lena Dunham.

Thanks, FF. That's a lofty goal but we'll try.

I guess in hindsight this should have been posted in the Brag About Something thread.

The Pyrenees tops out at 90-100 pounds. See, that's what men do Flapjacks. They get big dogs. Maybe someday your wife will give you your balls back and let you get a real man's dog.

Our 1st Great Pry was only with us for a few years before she had a stroke but we are suckers for older dogs. This is the youngest dog we have ever had.

Congrats on the new addition. I've been kicking around the idea of getting a 2nd dog but I am pretty sure my current guy
wouldn't like it and we go out of town enough that it would be really expensive to have to kennel two dogs and take 2 to the
vet.

If you're out of town, than the person living rent free in the basement should be taking care of the dog for a few days.

If we could trust her to take care of another living thing other than herself I would agree with you but there is no way she can handle that and
my dog is one of the most valuable things I have. I won't subject him to the basement persons lifestyle and whims.

It was nice of you to invest in some practice targets for your local law enforcement.

T-Bone's basement dweller should be its own thread.

Good looking pooch....congrats!

Today,a guy pulled up to me in a van. I could see out of the corner of my eye that a large person was in the passenger side. I turn to my left and it was a St. Bernard with hair ribbons in it's ear....
