Racist.

There is something to be said about a president that would be so old as to not care about their future considerations. But not in advanced mental incapacity.

Good thing America is more important.

Agreed, but I don't think that was McCain's motivation.

Yes, he certainly was the traitor to the party but there were 2 others, as well. At least they voted no pretty much from the get-go. McCain did this for other, selfish reasons other than 'what's best for the country. I don't care that he betrayed his party.....his party was a shitshow throughout this whole process. I care that he should have said no from the beginning.

Add in the fact that he needs to step-down. He's too friggin' old and now has health issues that will limit his ability to do the job. Takes nothing away from his years of service. There are things about him I like, but he's done and has proven he has his own agenda.

He lives in Wisconsin, parties with woodland creatures, and drinks terrible liquor.

You're welcome, CNN.

I think Murkowski and Collins aren't getting enough credit for sticking to their guns the whole time because of McCain, but I don't think it's that big a deal. I do love how completely screwed Heller is. If anyone should be furious at McCain, it's him.

Someone explained to me that it was necessary for McCain to advance the bill to that point and then shoot it down because of Senate rules regarding reconciliation bills -- had it been voted down earlier, they could just rewrite it and try again. I still don't doubt that McCain relished every moment of his role in this, but I guess it did make some sense after all.

Until McConnell changed things in 2007 (obstructing) every piece of legislation advanced with unanimous consent.

The guy is as dumb as IMU. Next to last in his class at Annapolis. Should never have been there but his dad was CINCPAC at the time. That's also why he was never let go from Annapolis.
Shitty pilot.I think he crashed two planes before he was shot down. Never would have got thru flight school but for his old man.
Horrible choice from GOP to let this moron run against an easily beatable sociopath like Obama.
Only good thing he did was put Palin on the ticket but his team fucked that up. She was most popular governor in USA and had nice tits.

"i can see Russia from my home"--Tina Fey
"ya stupid cow"--Palin
"can you help me, i'm lost"--Trig Palin
"sure little buddy, get in the car"--Frank

It embarrassed Trump in the worst possible way. Trump begged him and then he still said no. Given the things Trump said about McCain this was the best possible course of action.
