So presumably Michael thinks Russell is better than him if "Sort by ring count" is the main method for assessing greatness.

Don't be a hater. Russell played with 15 HoF players.

Kobe played with the peak version of arguably the most dominant big man in the history of the league for his first 3. Lebron is already ahead of Kobe 3-2 when it comes to titles won as the best player on a team.

In my world 5 beats 3. In my world 5-2 Is better than 3-5. MJ has spoken! Also LeBron and Wade were fairly equal for that first title.

Russell also played when there was like 8 or 10 teams and players couldn't move. Teams owned them.

The question is did Jordan ever make the all NBA third team a single time before he turned 25? Kyrie Irving wins again.

Presumably Michael thinks "fuck LeBron."

He presumably is happy to overrate the poor man's version of himself/the guy who copied his entire game off him yet never measured up to his accomplishments.

Kobe copied his game. Not Lebron.

Christ, Kobe copied the way MJ talked and walked early in his career. Then he became his own guy later on.

That's literally what he was saying.

I would say 5 is pretty close to 6 and what legend ended his career with a better game than Kobe? That 60 in a wheelchair was impressive.

I was unaware that "performance in last irrelevant game of career" was a criterion for greatness. How do you think Kobe's ring count compares to Horry's?

Horry was no better than the 5th best player on a championship team. Kobe was no worse than 1B and the closer on a championship team. MJ is right.

I take that as meant players were not free to change teams.

They were free to change teams. They were just too lazy and slow to do it.

Thibs was hired for his first coaching job as an assistant at Salem State before the age of 25. Upon acceptance he immediately assumed his rightful place amongst the pantheon of great coaches.

No he was worse than 1B for his first 3 titles. He was clearly number 2.
