Whoa there was no way to have predicted what would happen in game 7 (although the mood there that night, aside from a Wood HR, was akin to a morgue) and by the time that game finished, you weren't going to keep highlighting that whole thing from game six. |

Whoa Relax....not literally. My point is they should have handled it....my guess is Theo would have stepped in and managed it. I thin it's safe to assume Jim Hendry didn't do anything to manage that situation....and someone should have. Dusty flat out called it fan interference in the post-game presser. There was no guarantee that the cubs would have won game 7, as we saw that Marlins team was pretty damn good, but we did clearly see a lack of leadership on the Cubs. The team completely melted down and handed the series over and they embraced that story as a scapegoat. The dude's life was ruined and that just wasn't right. |
