It does seem a little disingenuous that it is basically "We won the World Series so NOW we can forgive you".

The Ricketts should have done a formal apology in "Year One" from the organization they bought about how certain former players and fans treated him.

I completely agree with this, but would add MOST of it is on the previous owners.
The entire incident was an absolute disgrace when it happened it 2003. The Cubs brass should have pulled Dusty Baker, Mark Prior, and Moises Alou aside immediately after the game ended....put a gun to their heads and said "We've watched the film...it wasn't fan interference. We had every opportunity to hold the game and win, and we failed to do so. That's the way it is and that's what you're going to say in the Press Conference."

This didn't happen and the Cubs let this non-story get out of control. in Terms of the Ricketts family...yes, in year 1 they should have came out and addressed this and the goat and all the other nonsense in year 1.

Whoa

there was no way to have predicted what would happen in game 7 (although the mood there that night, aside from a Wood HR, was akin to a morgue) and by the time that game finished, you weren't going to keep highlighting that whole thing from game six.

Maybe they did and those three weasels--all of them are--refused.

Irony, considering Linda is the Ann Coulter of ESPN

Saying that adding politics to sports talk may be turning away some viewers hardly makes one the "Ann Coulter of ESPN."

Just about every poster here must be an Ann Coulter as we have all commented that the insertion of politics at 670 has killed the station.

Linda was clearly referring to ESPN's liberal slant.

I'd argue the conservative slant of some former ESPN personnel (Schilling for example) is just as off-putting when inserted into sports. If I wanted to watch Fox News or MSNBC, I'd be watching those channels instead of sports.

You do realize they fired Shilling over his repetitive political comments/tweets ?

they did and prior to doing so I did not care for those views either.

ESPN should be sports. Politics and sports do not mix well and if I'm in the mood to consume sports, I sure as hell don't want any politics, right or left, mixed into it.

Meh, looks like she just went bottled blonde. She always had a nice figure. Thing is, that was a 7/8 in the mid 80's. Seriously. Even the unshaved bush all the way up to the waist line.

I would bang Chris Myers over Linda Cohn based on that picture.

Idk when I noticed it, but maybe a few years ago I was watching SC and thought, "When did Linda Cohn's tits get that big?" She def had a lift. As a woman ages the tits go further down not expand. Good for her. She looks ten times better than the 80s pic.

There's an excerpt from that infamous espn book that talks about her being all agreesive trying to get laid at an espn party. Lemme see if I can find it.

Edit: Couldn't find it. Don't really feel like reading the book. Guess they used to have X-mas party orgies where drugs were accessible tho.

Relax....not literally.
My point is they should have handled it....my guess is Theo would have stepped in and managed it. I thin it's safe to assume Jim Hendry didn't do anything to manage that situation....and someone should have. Dusty flat out called it fan interference in the post-game presser. There was no guarantee that the cubs would have won game 7, as we saw that Marlins team was pretty damn good, but we did clearly see a lack of leadership on the Cubs. The team completely melted down and handed the series over and they embraced that story as a scapegoat. The dude's life was ruined and that just wasn't right.
