Post subject:  The Kid Who Didn't Die At Riverfront

Interesting article, and especially the critique of the short railings. I'm a 6'3" guy myself, and I almost would rather have no railing at all than a railing that is 3 feet tall... just enough to get my body mass over the top and have no way to counteract that. There's an implied sense of safety with a railing, where if you didn't have one and had a fifteen foot drop off, people would be a little more timid. The video is pretty crazy.

interesting stuff. this was just about before my time, but the video is pretty incredible to watch. that railing is really strange. looks like belongs in a roller coaster car rather than a baseball stadium.

Yeah, i'd be very interested to know the logic behind that railing. In the story it said the writer tried to contact whoever was behind it but wasn't able to
