In all honesty, I plan on being much more emotionally invested next season, so I'm looking at this year's fan overreaction from a detached POV.

This team is bad. It's probably another offseason, and Vic Fangio as head coach away from being a playoff squad.

We'll get through this together fellas. Hopefully, the Cubs can make a deep playoff run to shelter some of you from the pain.

Did anyone actually think this team wasn't going to be bad?

I don't expect the Bears to win much. I do expect the QB to know the snap count, and for the WRs to catch balls that hit their hands.

But perhaps I am setting the bar too high with this squad.

I'm sure you've had the score in all morning, and can attest to the callers that think it was a playoff caliber team.

They should be improved from last year and that seems to not be true.

I think so Frank. Sadly, I think so.

I'm not understanding the need or logic behind panicking

Maybe a win or two better, depending on injuries.

Losing Freeman was a big blow to Fangio's D. ( )

This franchise has been a train wreck for 30 years. who could possibly pay attention anymore?

This.

I find this team to be infinitely more interesting than the past few years because they do seem to have some young talent, but is anyone actually upset with their results? If you'd told me before the year that they'd be 1-3 after four games with Mike Glennon at the helm, I'd tell you they'd have overachieved. It's okay to be disappointed with the performance, but "panic"? You can only panic if you had title aspirations to begin with (and you shouldn't have).

They are 1-3. Before the season I thought they'd start 0-4.

There was one play last night where Green Bay had 11 in the box. Even Tony Romo was laughing.

I will watch if the game is in front of me like last night. But I'm not particularly emotionally invested, much less panicking.

Any team the Bears beat should be panicking.
