Visiting some friends in central Illinois last weekend and we went to the Lasalle-Peru McDonald's. I was prepared for a piece of shit but it was one of the best McDonald's I've been to. Blew Oak Brook and the Dekalb Oasis out of the water. If you ever find yourself in that neck of the woods, give the McNuggets a try.

Somebody with the Twitters should let Pat Mannelly know so he can add it to his list of best "road game" stops.

Never know when the Snapper might make his way down here for Rip's Chicken.

Damn, I miss Lanuti's.

I don't know if it makes me sadder to know that travelers got that close to Rip's and ate at McDonald's or that it took almost two pages for someone to mention it.

Throw in a suggestion for Ron's Cajun Connection outside of Utica if it is still there. Haven't been out that way in a few years.
