Now that he's insulting Trump I feel better about all the people he caused to be killed.

If he and his father didn't actively surround themselves with the worst among us I'd join in this. Despite Barbara' s influence I thought that they were generally decent good people to start with.

W has always been better as an ex-president. he could've been cooler than clinton had he surrounded himself with a decent cabinet.

I think that she showed her true colors in the Astrodome after Katrina, and I've had no good thoughts about her since

Good speech. I have always thought he would be viewed way more favorably as time goes on. Things like this will def help.

I didn't like him as Prez, but I've said it before and I'll say it again...GW Bush is the greatest ex-president we've ever had. The guy was born to play the role.

Best POTUS of the 90s and 2000s.

First term for W. second term was pretty shitty.

I wasn't a fan of his presidency (my head still has a welt on it in the shape of my palm), but W. always struck me as a guy you could have a good time with at a ballgame. I think Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay got him right, he's the guy who likes to get high in private.

Trump seemingly hates sports, doesn't get down, and would order security to eject you for some petty bullshit. And his politics suck.

My dog would seem presidential compared to Trump.

W. makes a good EX-president. Let's not gloss over his actual term...

W's book "Decision Points" is an interesting read. Not the most exciting and he certainly blows his share of smoke, but it does explain a lot of his policy.....most of which i did not care for then and still do not care for. He does indirectly admit and explain problems he has with his cabinet.

The one thing I will say about the book is it's very much in his words and I do think he's one of the more genuine ex-POTUS. The media did not do him any favors, but that's to be expected.

Funny thing, policy-wise....he turned out to be very non-Republican.

Bush fucked more shit up than Trump has. Trump could outdo him, it's still early, but come on.

Besides Iraq (which is a big besides) I do not think you are thinking clearly.

Bush had eight years to wreck the Middle East, let the global economy unravel, and plunge the country into a national mood of fear and loathing. Trump has spent nine months tweeting about "bad food restaurants" and telling anyone who'll listen that he invented pooping. But like I said, Trump could do much worse than Bush. It's still early.

And 10 years from now liberals will be positively reminiscing about the Trump years as they have embarrassing daily meltdowns over whatever new BABYHITLER is president.

Nancy Pelosi said it would be nice if Mitt Romney were president instead. Yes, top Democrats' imaginations are so impoverished that their fantasies of power are just Republicans, but nicer ones.

I can't give him a shoutout. Every POTUS during my lifetime has been a complete piece of shit, just some were bigger pieces of shit than others.

Yeah. It's so far fetched to opine that if a Republican had to be president, a less crazy person would be better.

Blaming that just on Bush is a joke. No president should get that much credit when it comes to big ups and downs with the economy. They can do things that steer the course, but the economy tanking was a multi-effort.
