For the 3rd year in a row, they made it all the way to the NLCS. With a team that is mostly still working towards their prime years, they should improve and be back in contention next year and several years beyond. Changes will have to be made, with Lackey likely to retire and Arrieta probably moving on for huge money, but the core will stay intact. It's a hell of an accomplishment to make it to a league championship series, much less do it 3 straight seasons. So here's to you Chicago Cubs!

This is the worst part of being a Cub fan on this board.

No amount of Sox trolling does as much damage as one post from our equine fiend.

i'm confused; i thought to him none of this was a big deal. i mean for actual cubs fans, this is a pretty great time to be one.

but for him, it must be a sad and lonely time.

Maybe someday Peter Cuck's team will actually make the postseason and he won't have to live vicariously through whoever the opponent of the Chicago Cubs is.

Well said. One title is all you need. Nothing else matters.

If only your passion of the BlackHawk was even half that of your passion for whoever is playing the Cubs!

yep congrats to the Cubs on avoiding being swept out of the playoffs for the 4th time in their last 5 appearances.

Has there ever been a team in sports that completely shits the bed in the playoffs as much as these Cubs? 3 sweeps, a fluke WS and then another near sweep where they go out in the final game by double digits.

What are you talking about? Swept for the 4th time in their last 5 appearances???? Obviously this year they beat the Nationals and also won a game VS the Dodgers. Last year of course, they won every series, from the Giants to the Dodgers, to the Indians. In 2015 they won the Wild Card game and then the series VS the Cardinals before getting swept by the Mets, representing the only sweep of any kind in the Theo era. Try again moron.
