God life was so simple back then ... NE Illinois in a complete tizzy over it for quite some time. I'll try to find it later. A truly great moment in local history. |

I think the whole conspiracy is on reddit. In my memory I saw it live but there is no way I would have been watching Dr. Who. Probably just a false memory. |

See, that's exactly my take too ... I remember something odd happening, but I can't conceive of a scenario wherein I'd be watching that show on that channel at that time for pretty much any reason. Im with you on this though I was a Dr Who fan and quite possibly did see it live I dont have a real clear memory of having done so |

You guys nailed it. I emailed my best friend earlier and said "Is it possible that we were actually watching this live when it happened? It's not like we read about it on Twitter the next day at 7th grade.....". Perhaps a fake memory, but even before I saw it on YT years ago, I had a vague visual memory of the entire scenario. Still, what a weird story when you're a kid.....
