I don't know why the local news services have assumed Chuy will win. I would say that Moreno has at least as good of a chance. He is a progressive and younger, which will play better in the areas that vote in the greatest numbers. He also is a sitting alderman in a ward with the greatest amount of development in the city so he has a bit of an organization and the ability to raise money. He has "the look" of a young liberal lion so I think Chuy is going to be the one who looks like the old line party guy versus the young outsider in this election. Funny how the worm turns.

I'm not sure about this but I think Moreno is PR which will also raise the long standing division of PR v. Mexican.
