my mom used to work with dr. oz's dad. she said that whole family is sick, and she dropped oprah like a bad habit when she started having him on.

another great moment in oprah faux pas history is when she at first bought completely into "a million little pieces", and paraded that book around...then when it was discovered he was full of shit, she had him back on to admonish him over it.

Was that the book about the guy getting dental work without novocaine?

My wife works in a dentist office and was laughing about that at the time. She said "This guy is lying his ass off, I'm not reading another word"

There would be plenty of great Oprah moments revealed if she ran for office. My personal favorite was when Oprah had a show on with people whose lives were ruined being addicted to cocaine and she personalized it by detailing her addiction to French fries. Not kidding on that one.

 100% true . I remember Steve and Garry ripping her for that .

She already has something in common with the president when he talked about his sacrifices.

It could not have been that extensive, Jorr. I've had 2 very small, tiny cavities fixed without novocaine. One was like 5 seconds of drilling and I barely felt anything. The other one wasn't much bigger, and after about 10 seconds I had have the dentist stop and give me the shot.

It's possible. MANY older folks were a lot tougher than us.

A cavity is about all that’s possible. This particular story was multiple root canals and crowns. There is a reason that in Marathon Man they used dental procedure as a torture method.

Whenever I get the novocaine, I lie and say I can still feel and ask for more. I want plenty of that shit.

i can't stand how it feels after though. the numbness makes your mouth feel like rubber, and when the feeling comes back it hurts like hell.

Anybody who criticizes Oprah during her campaign or brings up any embarrassing footage will be immediately branded a racist dyke-hater.

Nothing like another celebrity Presidential option to swing the pendulum in the complete opposite direction.

That will not be a good thing.

You do not look forward to the coronation of Queen Oprah the first?

Exactly. This is moronic.

IIRC she admitted in that she never even voted until 2008 when she voted for Obama. Never voted until 2008, leapfrogs people who have dedicated their lives to public office to run for President in 2020. That's only slightly less embarrassing than what we have now.

Sensationalistic personalities do whatever it takes to make everyone happy without regard to it making sense. Donald Trump followed this exact model, catered to the wants and needs of low-class Republican voters, and got elected for an office he never expected to win.

Turns out those same voters are now going to get screwed by a tax plan designed to hurt based on their economic status. Oops.
