Yes we have to wait until 5 for the official announcement, but it's pretty much guaranteed.

Congrats to Big Jim Thome on becoming a 1st ballot Hall of Famer

Sammy Sosa can visit your plaque as well if he pays $20 at the door

Game 163 (Blackout Game), certainly an all time great Sox moment

saw him at the 75th/Rt 83 Verizon store one time. He's smaller in real life.

When I heard the news I honestly did think back to how great the game 163 HR felt at the time. Couldn’t smile long as the depression of that being one of the last great Sox moments set it.

Fire Kenny and Hahn if they don’t win the World Series this year. #TimesUp

Didn't he used to go hunting with Buehrle? If you do that you're cool in my book!

I think a similar contrast in imaging would occur as the result of looking at a photo of a 19 year old Lebron and comparing it with present day Lebron also.

Not bad. I wonder if Tom Couston still has his original report. He's the scout who drafted Thome. He'd probably say he had all 5's and 6's with a couple 7's.

I enjoy the comment about him having the potential to be s defensive third baseman.

Nope. Not saying Thome was on the juice but LeBron didn't get substantially bigger. A-Rod didn't either but we all know what he did.

Don't get your angle here, Nas. Are you saying that the LeBron in the Irish jersey is the same size as the LeBron in the Heat jersey?

Are you suggesting LeBron is on something?

Have you never been able to build muscle by just getting older and working out?

I'm saying that rookie LeBron and 2017 LeBron aren't that different. I didn't say anything about high school LeBron.

The opposite, actually. I wanted to illustrate that an athlete being noticeably larger than their 18-19 year old self is not necessarily an indication of steroid or hormone use.

I don't think Thome was on anything, but the comparisons aren't similar. Thome got way bigger.

He came up as a third baseman and played 493 big league games there.
