Country Donuts in Crystal Lake or Elgin is the best.

Co-worker of mine gets donuts from Henze's in Valpo. Good and cheap!

We got a new "New England Style " IPA in called Heretic. Haven't tapped it yet. The rep told me that New England Style indicated a less hoppy, maltier finish.

That's how I think of New England. Malty.

Mawlty.

Your rep is clueless. New England IPAs have a hazy appearance, soft mouth feel, and "juicy" flavor. Some of the best beer in the world is currently coming out of Vermont, Massachusetts, and Maine (Hill Farmstead, Alchemist, Trillium, Treehouse, Bissell Brothers, etc).

I keep forgetting how bad their donuts are, and I keep buying them and re-remembering. They never taste good, mainly because they aren't made in house. The only thing they make out here is the vanilla long john's. I would love to find out where they actually make the donuts, I wonder how they taste fresh. As is they taste days old.

DD donuts are generally horrible. An exception can be made for the "cronut" thing they had about 15 months ago, that didn't suck.

Do-Rite downtown willing to spend a little coin, or Old Fashioned for those willing to risk their lives driving to 115th and Michigan.

But even the best Chicago donuts don't hold a candle to an average Los Angeles donut made by some Vietnamese refugee. Donut King on Sepulveda is just as good as Do-Rite at 40% of the cost.

dude the boston kremes get the job done. and how can you not fuck with a double chocolate? i used to love the old coffee + 2 donut combos.... i'd just do a XL coffee ("i'm one of those coffee with my creme + sugar assholes") and then one boston kreme and then 1/2 double chocolates and that was pretty much my day for me.

of course now i'm just subject to the whims and fancies of whatever everybody didn't want yesterday. tho i gotta admit i dig their bagels and muffins, things i wouldnt have tried if i didn't reach a point where i was all "beggars cannot be choosers"

and oh yeah, i'm gonna see if i can still write/recite/record raps tonight. wish me luck... i've got a couple'a song ideas and i just re-discovered my kendrick lamar diss verse from the "behavioral hospital"

Have you tried the Dunkin Donuts Trash Can French Cruller IPA? Great mouthfeel.

Suggested you drink it within 30 days though.
