Feels a little silly that they used the space on the rocket for the car when they easily could've launched at least 6 or 7 Jews into the eternal void instead. |

Astronauts are set to launch into space from American soil today for the first time since 2011. A SpaceX rocket is set for launch at 4:33 p.m. ET from Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral. Am I the only one who has a bad feeling about this? |

There is risk however. The astronauts on tv said they all know it and take it gladly. |

I am thinking about a great line in the movie Armaggedon(sp?) where the Russian astronaut is being told that he doesn't know the components on the American space ship and says, "Russian components, American components, all being made by the lowest bidders and all are MADE IN TAIWAN". But seriously, I pray for those two guys in that rocket. I think that it takes massive balls to be a passenger locket in between huge rocket furnaces blazing around you as well as being somewhat nuts. |

My son was watching the coverage all afternoon. He texted me when it was cancelled, "a multi-billion dollar company defeated by a cloud..." |

So I read today that the odds of a fatal mission were 1/276. To put that in perspective, I was told that my odds of not surviving my open heart surgery for a year were 1/250. |

SpaceX isn't publically traded, so it probably wont do anything. But even then everyone who plays the market knows that stocks only ever really go up, and the only times they actually go down is when it seems entirely certain that they'll go up. Sounds like it doesn't make sense? Kinda the point. Buy the hype, sell the news. |

This is cool to see. Amazing to see everything on three video screens instead of the rows of buttons and switches in the pod. |

Hard to take it public if it’s stated purpose is getting humans on mars. At that point there is a conflict of interest in making money for investors and getting to Mars. |
