His expedition has discovered the wreck of the Lady Lex, 76 years after she was crippled and had to be scuttled after helping secure a crucial strategic victory at Coral Sea, which in turn set the stage for Midway 4 weeks later. She only survived 5 months after Pearl Harbor, but she really left her mark in those 5 months.

11 aircraft, including TBD-1 Devastators (there are no surviving models of this aircraft) have also been found intact and in remarkable condition for having spent 76 years in the ocean.

I don't like it. Too many scavengers will be going after these sunken tombs.

It's 2-3 miles below the surface. I don't think there are many scavengers who can get down there.
