I think you are taking it too far. To use my own example, when considering food options I pretty much say "What haven't I had in a while?". If I decide that Chik-Fil-A is what I want then I get that. If it is a Sunday, I say it isn't open and then I'm likely to get it the next time. Average it out over a year and I don't think them being closed on Sundays would get me there any more or less.

I don't think everyone thinks like that. They get what is close and convenient when it comes to fast food. If they miss out on Sunday, they're not going to it next time just because they haven't had it in awhile. Besides, if what you are saying is true, they could just stay open like 3 days a week and not lose any business.

The Chik-Fil-A near me doesn't have the demand you describe, by the way. It was a novelty in many places when they first start, but now it's just another (good) fast food restaurant.

Every time I’m in Davenport I drive by one that has a huge line at drive through. Figured it would slow down but they seem to be thriving.

It’s too bad they serve a pedestrian sammich because I’d like to eat there more often as they are a textbook case on how to handle a bunch of whiny fucking bullies .

At least with Chik-Fil-A, that isn't how it works. They have far less franchises than other fast food places and yet they outsell them. If it was just what is close and convenient then they wouldn't be doing so much better.

Do you really not care what food you eat? It just seems weird that how long it has been since you had something doesn't factor in to your decision making. Why not just eat a Big Mac every day then? I'm sure it's close and convenient.

They do better than any fast food restaurant open 7 days a week. They have the highest demand.

I'm not going to continue debating, but I don't know how you can possibly make this argument. It's just wrong. If a Chik Fil A franchise generates $10,000 of revenue 6 days a week, that revenue wouldn't suddenly decrease and shift to Sundays. It just wouldn't. You are complicating it to an absurd degree. Very few people have a set rotation of fast food places. They're just going when they feel like it.

To your last point, people very frequently eat McDonald's because of convenience. If not for convenience, McDonald's wouldn't be very popular. You think people are going there because of quality?

Some would and some wouldn't but they'd also have more expenses.

Chik-Fil-A has less locations, and they are open less hours, yet they outsell them per store by a significant margin. If people weren't choosing to eat at Chik-Fil-A because they like it then that wouldn't be the case.

Firmly on they are losing revenue and profits not being on Sunday. With the kids there is no plan B on their next favorite fast food. Chick Fil A is the only answer.

Sunday is a day with both sports and shopping in many cases. So many times we have settled for Wendy's when Chick was option A.

One has 60 locations, one has 2200 locations.

That said, I'd love for one in Georgia, we have a Rosati's somehow, better than nothing.

What does peta have to do with anything?

A nice salad with freshly cooked chicken or steak, spinach, and all the other fixins you can think of is much healthier. Also cost effective.

Chicken sandwiches or even McDonald's isn't the biggest problem with obesity. Its soda, Monster/Red Bulls, and other sugary drinks.

Ima answer for leash.

I'd get it more often because often on Sundays, I'll tell my wife, "Dude, let's get Chick-Fil-A," but then she'll remind me it's closed. So we end up having it once every three months instead of once a month.

you aren't alone.

my buddy who manages a mall store said that the "oh its closed" would quickly be gone. the sunday afternoon after church crowd is the busiest time for most restaurants. he said the mall restaurants inside and surrounding are packed to the brim with business. to think chickfila would suffer on a sunday is crazy.

It's breaded chicken on a hamburger bun. How much trouble can such a thing be worth?
