I'm sitting here wondering if he can worse than the Reinsdorfs? I've come up with, "quite naturally".

To an extent, in a manner of speaking.

The NBA owed him at least a billion dollars for what he did to the league. Professional athletes owe him even more. Only Oscar Robertson has an argument for being more important to professional athletes than Jordan.

Curt Flood scoffs at that notion.

Flood sacrificed his professional career to take on MLB, was blackballed, and ruined his career fighting for players rights that he would never benefit from himself.

Probably true but doesn't change that he's a failure as GM then owner.

You can say that until you realize how much money he'll make with a sale.

If Jordan doesn't sell to a balack is he an Uncle Tom?

I don't have the numbers in front of me but I'm mostly unaware of any transformation Jordan has speared with respect to the franchise's business status. They seem to be in the same bottom 5ish tier in terms of revenue and we can all agree, I assume, that the product on the court has been horrible.

No finals appearances
No conference finals appearances
Around 41% winning percentage as an owner, which is top 5-7 worst over the same period of time
No notable draft pick successes other than maybe Ball
3 playoff births in 16 seasons
12 seasons of below 500 ball out of 16
8 coaches in 16 years (2 year tenure on average per coach)
Never won more than 48 games in a season

Pretty bad.
