And shitting on the cubs is probably the only coping mechanism he knows.

Good Dolphin is a loyal Sox fan in the traditional sense. It means you choose 1 Chicago team to be your team and despise the other. I can very much relate to that. Unfortunately for GD his team is owned by Reinsdorf, who has a done poor job of hiring executives who know what they are doing. The drafting and development of players hasn't been good at all and they will only spend to a point where they feel they can compete. The Cubs meanwhile are on their way back to being a contender after a period of 6 years where they made the playoffs 5 times and to the NLCS 3 times with a WS title to boot. Perhaps another such run is on the horizon and GD is agonizing over that prospect. Who knows GD, perhaps Reinsdorf isn't posturing this time for public funds and he will actually move to Nashville or somewhere else and you can cheer for the Cubs and life will vastly improve.

i've observed in the Brewers series GD has fallen off the wagon again.

Let's be patient with him.

Remember this was suppose to be his Wsox 3 peat season.

He had this entire barrage of 3 peat posts planned out for years.

I've seen his message drafts (read it again and say it like Trump).

Here are a few :
