so we live in the QCA but our daughter goes to school i chicago so my wife for almost an hour was watching skilling on her phone. never heard of or seen of him before. She was head over heals for the guy. apparently our weather people here suck.

That's why I rarely watched Skilling.

Plus, if he's going to carry on for so long and go into so much detail, WGN could have at least staffed the graphics department with something other than colorblind 10-year-old kids using MS Paint. It was as though they had been told to use as many colors as possible, aesthetics and readability be damned. Hopefully that has changed since I last saw one of his forecasts on TV.

TV traffic reports are a worse waste of time. Who cares about a slowdown 20 miles away when you're still at home drinking coffee. It's Chicago & traffic sucks in the same areas every day. If it's really bad for some reason then the anchor can mention it. Reports on the radio are marginally better but ultimately it's Google maps or Waze for most commuters.
