Is IMU the one in the backseat?

Based on the personality traits of the character in that movie, I would say there's an obvious parallel, although IMU is apparently an emaciated little fella, not porcine (except, of course, from a metaphorical perspective).

He's no Lane Meyer.

Maybe at the beggining, but he's not Post fix up the camaro get a new attitude Meyer

I was responding to Big Chicagoan's question about the guy in the back seat. That's where there's a parallel.

Why can't everyone (everyone) just be happy with what they have and not feel the need to brag or tear others down?

You don't like me, but I'm happy, and that angers you. You post shit to try to upset me, I don't get upset at that shit anymore, and you don't like it.

MY OPINION: I have a nice car, and its probably nicer than the cars most of you drive (except Ken MD and bigfan, they've got cheddar.) I like that I don't drive a 2005 Elantra. It makes me happy.

You think those three are the only ones that make more than you?

And why the shot at my car? Ive shown no ill will in this thread other than making the copy FF post post

Anyways a lot of us make more than you and choose or have to spend our money on things beside bitch cars and tail lights to go with them

EDIT: Way to take a shot at anyone here who drives anything older than an 05 btw.

Its hilarious to me that you deem that car masculine.

But then again, Im not a car guy.

and that you think your modest salary makes you elite here.

I like the fact that I have a life, a sexlife, and dont live a sheltered existence where Schaumburg is the whole world and message board events represent 100% of my social life. It makes me happy.

If any of you drive an R8, a Lamborghini, an Aston Martin, an M5, a TL-S - you win. For the rest of you, sucks to be you.

My anger is reserved for things a little less trivial than your inability to properly align yourself with a bankrupt culture of conspicuous consumption. You seek to impress the board with your buying power, but you have no idea what you should buy, or that your "power" is more putative than actual. Your shallowness is exceeded only by your stupidity. I am not angered by your wanton failure as an aspiring consumer, but amused.

I highly doubt that your car is nicer than most of the cars people drive here. It's not like it's that expensive. Now, maybe your car can go to the salt flats and help you live a quarter mile at a time but no one, unless they are one of those car people I knew in high school who hung out on Friday nights outside White Castle and then drove to Aurora to street race for $25, cares about that.

I bet IMU has wet dreams about the prospect of owning a Chevy Chevette.

I order take out food any time I please. Sure, it is more expensive, but I could not care less. Winning!

I get the impression you resent people who value relationships over material possessions. I'm sorry you're a sociopath.

You prefer no sex with anyone ever.

Well, I'm not allowed to do that any more. However, I could never imagine trying to pick up a girl by asking her if she would like to see my hot hatchback. I can only assume she would see it and remark "Oh, it's a station wagon. My grandpa used to have one of those".

The thing is...they are happy in life.

You are clearly not.

Serious Post Below..

I've never met you. I only go off of what you say on the message board here. Given that, how can you expect me to perceive you as anything other than a probably chemically unbalanced sociopath? Again, I'm not talking shit, this is sincere.

Seems I struck one with the lack of your social life so you went out of bounds looking to come back and failed miserably.

Oh, and I bought my car brand spanking new. Not used. Get your shit straight, guy. :)

No you are a HUGE nerd. Thats why you have no friends and came here looking for some.

This place is your entire social life.

Im glad youre not arguing that point.

And no you didnt buy the car new. You dont own the car. You took a loan dumbass.
