Putting a spoiler on a car doesn't hide that it's a grandma car.

At least they call it a station wagon like it really is.

To me it seems more like a college kids car. But then you grow up and get a real car.

I just find the majority of hatchbacks unattractive.

1-luv, IMU. :)

Hatchbacks are not comfortable to ride in if you're over 5'10"

Obviously you do not drive with guitars, amps, or golf clubs very often. And if you do, you certainly cannot have more than 1 person in the car with you.

This came off a little mean. It was in reference to imagining 5'11 IMU stepping out of his car with his spider legs and saying to me "Do you like my hot hatch?".

IMU in a normal situation is probably cool.

You are correct. I could certainly fit all of that stuff with the seats down in either my old Fit or my new GTI, but only the passenger seat would be able to be used.

However, the same would be said for a CR-V, a RAV4, or an Equinox. Only larger SUV's with 3 rows or a large storage area could do better.

...like I said, vehicles for a kid in college. No one with a kid, a dog or anything else (friends even) would realistically have a vehicle like that and think it has enough space.

From Urban Dictionary....

Honda Fit

A hatchback subcompact car offered by Honda that has become very popular with gay men in America. This can largely be attributed to the advertising campaign "the fit is go" which featured still images of the car rotating around with rainbow backgrounds, bad 80's-style techno music and what sounds like a talking computer for an announcer. Some believe Honda purposefully targetted this audience for the vehicle.

Girl 1: Look at that guy, he must go to the gym a lot to stay that hot.
Girl 2: Yea but he's driving a Honda Fit.
Girl 1: Why are all the pretty men gay!?!

This thread is going to look pretty funny when IMU buys a different car next summer.

I once saw 2 guys kissing at the park and that was the most burrito thing I have ever seen in my life until I clicked on this thread.

I wouldn't mind an Audio ur-quattro

or a Lancia Delta Integrale

Either would be fun.

Average age seems to be in the 30's for the GTI, after going through several of those pages.

More than several people in their 50's and 60's.

That's because most college kids don't have the money or credit to buy the car, so technically, the purchaser is a parent/grandparent or an older sibling who's co-signing for them.

IMU, I will give you credit or whatever the hell you want to call it. You truly have a Panteresque vibe when you want to get your point across, it at times is annoying as hell.

I'm informing the masses that hatchbacks are the single best car category.
