You're really good at identifying shades of blue.

But I have to agree with you, to the extent that both have four doors with the rare "has windows" feature.

I've always been here and I'm not an old timer, I have read the board every day, but I don't have any interesting things to say so I just read, I suspect there are others like me, I'm just drunk. BTWs I haven't watched hockey in three years #messageboardconfessions

Solid choices. I'd go with the Polestar as Nissan hasnt innovated or really refreshed the Z in quite awhile. I think they're gearing up for the 370's successor...

Neither is.a.bad choice though. Do you want the sleeper (to non car guys) wagon or the Fast and Furious sports car?

And welcome back bud.

Good call on the fast and furious look, I didn't think of that, it's weird because I never had the special fuz for the 350 or 370 until I saw the nismo version a few weeks ago and was blown away...

but just look at this

but I think because of the lack of choices for the pole star, and because of the amazing price point of the 370, I might have to go with the zed.

You're not making a mistake either way. You'll enjoy each...maybe for slightly different reasons but theyre both a hell of a car.

My wife just got a Subaru Crosstrek. Burrito? maybe, but she likes it and it certainly has a good drive to it.

Sad day.

Volkswagen ends production of the Scirocco 43 years after it began

Volkswagen, still reeling from the Dieselgate scandal and refocusing its plans on electrifying its vehicle lineup, has officially pulled the plug on the Scirocco nameplate after more than 40 years. The company's German consumer website says (according to Google Translate) that "The Scirocco can no longer be ordered with individual equipment. However, finished, already produced vehicles are available for you."

Even though it's been many years since you could buy a 'Roc in the states, it's a sad and lonely end for the front-wheel-drive hatchback coupe.

The Scirocco, designed by Italian car designer and Automotive Hall of Fame member Georgette Giugiaro, made its debut back in 1974 as a kind of replacement for the Karmann Ghia, VW's second model after the iconic Beetle. The second generation arrived in 1981 and lasted until 1992, when the nameplate was discontinued and replaced by the Corrado. The Scirocco name wouldn't resurface until the Iroc concept in 2006, which eventually morphed back into the third-generation Scirocco for the 2009 model year and beyond.

The final update was the Scirocco R, which came with six engine options (including two diesels) that topped out at a 276-horsepower, 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine. Our review of that car in 2014 asked "whether Volkswagen has made the right call by keeping the Scirocco on the other side of the Atlantic."

Given the car's rather circuitous history, there's always a possibility it'll resurface sometime down the line. Here's hoping.

As an update, I realized that for near the same price of a 370Z Nismo, and for a lot less than the Volvo, I could get a 2012 C63 AMG:

Thanks IMU, it was a quick decisioned purchase, but Hans' hand built engine was too much to turn down; I am sorry to report that because it was a Florida car, it has been a very hard to start in this cold winter #firstworldproblems
