Whoops

looks like it was just getting started.

Today: 3 degrees

2/1/14: 30 degrees

a month ago: -5 degrees

.... but three days later it was 46, then 46 again the next day, then 34, 39, 41, and 34

12/6/13: 20 degrees

11/6/13: 57 degrees

.... and the Sunday prior to Thanksgiving it was nearly 70 degrees (though at the cost of the tornadoes)

I don't have a point ... just was bored and looking at the past weather to see if it's been as bad as it seems ... not really ... not great, maybe not good, but not really all that bad temperature-wise .... rest of February the average never gets out of the 30s .... record for Feb 25th is 70 though ... March averages are 40s and 50s ... change will come, always does ... and then it'll be 98 and humid and the power will go out and we'll quietly dream of shoving a snowball down our shorts just to cool down.

im not one to bitch about the weather... but im still shaking from last year. this 9 deg for a high thing the last couple days is just a baseball bat to the face. i wasnt ready. i remember last march just crawling through every single day just hoping it would warm up to 35 degrees... and i dont think it did until may 4th. after that it didnt hit 70 until what, late june? and of course by september 14th it was already hitting 39 again.

i remember reading last april that scientists believed that because the winter was so cold for so long it likely wouldnt even get above 90 in the midwest. i thought that was ridiculous, knowing what summers have been around here the last decade. they were spot on though.

what i didnt think about was if the summer really did end up being that cool, would it continue into another bullshit winter? apparently so. i see in the forecast theres a few 40 deg days on the weekend/next week, but then it dives right back down to 9. honestly i think that will change, and we aint warming up until may. it just sucks, like i said i hate bein that bitch but holy shit this just sucks.
