I defy even the emptiest soul to get through that HBO documentary about the children's grief camps he started without whimpering like a chubby 4th grader seeing E.T. for the first time. This guy is a true mencsh, 72 mph fastball and all.

We had Michael Lewis (of Moneyball fame) speak at a corporate event a few years back. He told a story about Jamie Moyer battling with Scott Hatteberg in a single at bat. Scott had tremendous reflexes and would foul off pitches until he had one that he could drive. At one point in the long at bat, Moyer screamed at Scott something on the order, "tell me where the fuck you want me to throw it" because Moyer was sick of throwing junk up their just to have Scott foul it off.

I didn't know Moyer had an edge to him.
