for $57 a year, I just got $124 in upgrades to my room. To a courtyard on the pool.

I think it is paid for itself!

Not to mention the dude that came to the mencards parking lot to jump my car this winter. That alone was worth it.

This AAA club is a good thing. Anyone else ever hear about it? :)

yeah, during one of the deep freezes this winter, my car died at the Metra parking lot. Called a few times and couldn't even get through. called the local garage who sent his guy in like 15 minutes. I'd still be waiting there for AAA.

I typically hate the "I thought this was gonna be about ___" posts

But I really did think this was about a promotion for Kris Bryant

I'm all over that, like stink on shit. I can get any of my vehicles towed up to 100 miles for no charge.

YOu should get shit housed and call AAA to tow your car home and give you a free ride. That alone is worth the price of admission, how many times per month can you use this service?

Have a flat and feeling lazy or it's too hot or cold out to change it? Fuck it, call AAA and have them do it.

They do have a program called "Tipsy Tow" -- I swear to you, not making it up -- but it is not available in Illinois ----- yet. (and it is only on certain days.)

AAA is great. I have certainly got my moneys worth from the gold auto service. But you don't need to be a member to get the AAA Hotel rates. Hotels never ask to see your AAA card. Ever. Anyone can book a Hotel room at the AAA rates & get the AAA rate.

But, to get the very best Hotel room rate, ask for the corporate rate for a company who is headquartered in the city that you are traveling to... Best Buy or Target in Minneapolis, Eli Lilly in Indianapolis, Allstate, Boeing, Walgreen's in Chicago, Anheuser Busch in St. Louis, GM in Detroit, Miller in Milwaukee, ETC.

I believe mcbrides has this type of service at his establishment.

It's stuff like these that makes me wonder why I don't still have AAA...when I was living with the parents my dad put me on his plan and I used it enough to probably pay for itself 5 times over. Never even used it for the other perks like the hotel rates and stuff but that makes it even better.

Yes we do, and it has come in handy more than a few times.
