Yes, early 20s. I wouldn't say I hate it as much as DB. But cell phone screens are becoming bigger and bigger and I notice more people filming instead of snapping a photo here or there.

I don't understand the video stuff either. The audio will be so garbled, so what is the point?

There's always a guy that is about 6'2" with an iPad. I've conditioned myself to tune him out...but, I also don't go to many club shows anymore. Maybe two a year at most. When I do go, I'm standing "on the step" at the Metro.

The audio on the iPad can be pretty damn good. I've never had any luck with phone video quality.

Video I took of the Pumpkins backstage at Allstate in 2012. It was FUCKING LOUD AS HELL in that little room. I had earplugs in and I never wear earplugs at concerts...only when I'm practicing.

at a club show, no . i have no issue with taking a pic or two , as i generally do myself . but that's like, 1 minute ? out of a 1-2 hours show? the stupid shit is video...like DB says its pointless, and that's when you're holding up a phone for a 5 minutes stretch.

So, it's on the band then to say something. that's fine and I agree. Just like they would do when shit would get rough "in the pit" years ago.

However, you don't take someones phone and then chuck it offstage. How is that lesson teaching or admirable? It's a shitty play.

This makes me wonder about the 1970s, how in the world could concerts have been bootlegged or videoed. It had to be damn near impossible to sneak a giant boom mic or an 8mm camera in.

It was pretty damn awesome.

And very fucking expensive for two tickets for a backstage pre-show, 2 autographed posters, some awesome video and pictures, 2 tour books, 2 VIP laminate, and a couple of stolen guitar picks....

WS tickets were $142 each for section 510 row 12ish? But, my Dad had to buy 4 season tix for 2006 with 3 other guys in order to get tickets. Two guys went to game one and they sold the other two. My Dad and I went to game 2 and they sold the other two...

Dad was also at the 14-6 (I think) game against Boston for the ALCS.

I think it was $4k a guy or thereabout for section 111 row 6 seasons. They sold most of them in 2006, but we (I) did go to about 4-5 games that year. I've spent close to $4k seeing the Pumpkins, NIN, and 311 since 1995.
