Terrific job this offseason. I'm so glad we don't have to purposely suck for years on end to build a contender. The AL Central is ours to lose now!

Don't forget to credit Kenny and Jerry. No wonder that Kenny is such a hot commodity with other organizations.

Jerry gets some credit for not being as cheap as the other owner in town.

What does Kenny get credit for?

I don't know, but he is so vital that he couldn't go somewhere else.

After a few more years of lining Ricketts pockets maybe the Cubs will be able to afford someone significant by 2017.

Maybe. I wonder if Robertson will be better than Rondon?

Sounds like one of those good problems to me.

Not Rodon (fuckin dolphin)

Rondon, the Cubs young closer who was very good last year.

Why is it always about the Cubs with you people?

The absence of Frank has really shown the number of Cubs fans that obsess about the White Sox.

Oh. Robertson will be better. Not sure why you would think otherwise.

I was just thinking, with the roles kinda reversed (Sox get headlines, Cubs appear unwilling to spend) what would a Sox fan say in this situation

Well Rondon had some better numbers (ERA, ERA+, FIP) last year

They were pretty close in a lot of areas. Whip 1.058 and 1.057

I hope Rondon wasnt a fluke. Id take Robertson if I had to bet on one, but I think it might be pretty close.

They sucked on accident. It's a much more noble endeavor.

I haven't paid attention but who did the Sox get for Addison Reed? Did Reed have a better year than Robertson?

Well they denied it at the time, so it probably means they were messing around. Maybe I'll ask his daughter.

Reed had a down year. He was traded for Matt Davidson. Robertson was one of the best closers in baseball last year.

sox get samardja for pocket lint. I don't understand it but can't complain. Cubs were the ones who made out like bandits.

The Cubs? Did they even get a current major leaguer from that trade? They got some dude who might suck or might be good. Maybe they got 2 dudes like that, don't remember. The White Sox obviously made out the best here.
