I was just thinking, with the roles kinda reversed (Sox get headlines, Cubs appear unwilling to spend) what would a Sox fan say in this situation

Well Rondon had some better numbers (ERA, ERA+, FIP) last year

They were pretty close in a lot of areas. Whip 1.058 and 1.057

I hope Rondon wasnt a fluke. Id take Robertson if I had to bet on one, but I think it might be pretty close.

Reed had a down year. He was traded for Matt Davidson. Robertson was one of the best closers in baseball last year.
