Yeah, give him a chance to do some recruiting...

Recruiting will likely be his biggest struggle.

Coaching at terrible school for football will also be his biggest struggle.

I like the guy and believe he would be a positive role model for my kid.

Not going to be pretty this weekend. Purdue and Rutgers after that. They should be able to win one of those two games.

Looks like another beat down for Illinois today.

Luke Butkus coached O-lines are always shit. He needs to go.

I don't understand why Foster isn't the feature back.

He does nothing but produce.

He does. I'm not always right.

Foster should get more touches, though.

Lovie getting things done. Run the hell out of it. That looks familiar.

Get the ball to start the 2nd.

Run the ball.

Turnovers.

We might win the 2nd quarter of this season.

This feels like a real football team.

This is legitimately exciting.

They'll most likely lose but this is fun.

Lovie with a classic timeout/challenge.

I do miss those. On the other hand, Illinois is getting screwed in this game.

Yes, they are.

Refs must have money on this one.

ESPN not big on replaying controversial plays like a 4th down PI or anything.

Looked like Neb was stopped short. Refs suck big dingaling.

They absolutely didn't get that.

Even Nebraska didn't think they got it. They just had to go through the motions.

It is progress when they need to screw you when you're on the road.

Good stuff.

Agreed.

But that's classic Lovie - leaving the game to the defense.

They got screwed today. Those penalties were mostly home-field bullshit.

1st quarter of the season, though, tons of avoidable penalties.

Box score won't show it, but today was a moderate/large step forward.

Absolutely a step forward. Not sure they can finish .500 with their schedule, but if he gets 'em pointed in the right direction and then recruits well...they may be ok.

He's got the best accent of any Big Ten coach, by far.
