It's funny that Princeton is facing a team that likely won't have a single player actually graduate.

#13 Morehead State has pulled off the first big upset of the NCAAs...They've just beaten #4 Louisville out in Denver by a final score of 62-61.

Louisville lost. Now if Kentucky can lose it will be a WONDERFUL first day of the tourney.

Pittsburgh isn't exactly running away and hiding yet either. This has been a hell of a start to the Tourney.

My earlier fears were unfounded.

Illinois knocks off Kansas?

While I think it is cool that they have all the games on 4 different channels I am getting
really pissed at all the jumping around I have to do. I wish there were just one channel
with all 4 games on the screen and then I could just choose which game I wanted to focus
on. When I wanted to change the split up screen would come up and I could choose another
game.

I think so.

If Kansas gets that far.

2.0 seconds left and that's Princeton's play? A 5 foot pass followed by a 3/5 court short that doesn't even get off on time? I thought those guys were smart.

Either way, nothing but goodness so far.

I just wanted to mention that the big scoreboard at the top of the screen showing the scores
and what channel each game on is very helpful. Not sure how I missed that but I guess in the
excitement of getting home and watching a couple of close games I ignored it. I have finally
cemented my title of village idiot.

I think they were supposed to get it to the kid that was streaking up the middle right before half-court but he didn't pass him the ball.

If he'd gotten it with a few dribbles, he'd probably have had a 35-40 footer.

I don't get college sports. Ive tried, but at this point the whole thing makes me want to cringe in embarrassment for other people. I don't like that feeling.

I don't get people who don't get college sports. Today might have been the greatest opening day in the history of March Madness. Lots of close games decided by 2 points.

That's ok. We can cringe in embarrassment that you can't watch a 20 year old play a sport without feeling bad but have no problem watching a 22 year old do the same thing.

They certainly are the most competitive conference, but they always seem to lay an egg in the tourney. They just don't seem to adjust well to the other styles played by teams in other conferences. Namely - playing defense.

I wonder if Tennessee is going to let Bruce Pearl travel back with the team, he is going to be shown the door quick.

He would be best served being required to walk back to Knoxville from wherever the hell it is they are playing. And hopefully he gets hit by a semi along the way.

Is Illinois on drugs? Good grief they look good.

Side note: Jereme Richmond... benched for disciplinary reasons.

Assuming these results hold up, 7 lower seeds will have won in the first round. Three of them defeated Big East teams.

Overrated regular seasons. When will they learn that it's a horrible tourney conference.
