That’s why I think you rarely hear the genius label in basketball. There’s not all that much room for innovation. Thibs was one of the few guys I recall referred to frequently as a (defensive) genius and his great innovation was stopping penetration in a pick & roll.

It’s nice that Angel Reese has apparently no racial bias in anything she’s done the last week and a half. I’ll have to give her the benefit of the doubt though, she goes to an SEC school. She probably thinks that Obama is still president.

It's a very strange story. Jill Biden put in the effort to go to the Women's Final Four, asked to meet both teams prior to the game, and at least LSU denied her because Joe Biden's bracket didn't include LSU making the Final Four, and now she is talking about Michelle Obama who probably didn't even know who was in the Women's Final Four as she tweeted about knitting instead of the results of the Women's Final Four on Monday.

It's interesting to see this play out though. I wonder if democratic strategists assign any weight to what we're seeing given that Reese and others are potentially gen z voters. Can they take this fallout as an early indicator of gen z minority attitudes toward the Biden and/or democrats. This has to be frustrating for Biden folks after what they see as genuine commitments to diversity, starting with adding Harris to the ticket itself. Perhaps it isn't registering with younger voters, LSU players certainly don't give a shit.

The LSU players initial complaint about the Bidens is they didn't pick them to make the Final Four. I doubt they are too worried about the future of the party because LSU in on Team Obama.

I think the bracket thing is outdated now. The complaint is clearly race-based after what happened/is happening.

Here's why I refuse to capitalize "black." Race is a social construct that has been destructive to society. So our answer to that is to further establish "Black" as categoory of people even as we rail against "whiteness"? It doesn't make any sense. Unless your purpose is to divide The People.
