You're looking at it from the wrong angle.

It means more opportunities for teams like Clemson and Alabama to lose.

And more football for us.

Edit: Also, it's my theory expanding the playoffs will help spread the recruits around which in turn dilutes Clemson and Alabama's stranglehold on the 5 stars.

I also think that as the number of teams in the playoff increases the recruiting domination of Bama and Clemson will decrease. GA, Auburn and Ohio State could beat anyone on a given night. It would be more interesting than this.

These kids think they have to go to one of those 2 schools in order to win a national championship and go to the NFL. Every damn player they announce for Clemson is from Georgia. These kids go to Clemson because they don't play Bama.

They don’t? Who did they play the last couple years in the championship? It’s not like those other schools don’t get amazing recruits. They still have to win. Alabama plays in the toughest conference every year and still never loses. If recruits want to play immediately, they would want to avoid schools like Bama in the first place.
