Was I the only person slightly confused that the main topic on ESPN all yesterday was that Alabama has now clearly established themselves as a tier above everyone else? They beat a team of second stringers in Tennessee and I am struggling to see how their win over Ole Miss is supposed to be less fluky or cause for concern than Ohio State's win over a better team in Wisconsin. The mere fact that Ohio State went into overtime does not override the fact that Bama gave up 43 to a team that's barely top 25.

That's what ESPN does, and a big reason why I do not consume their product. Ohio State can hang with them, no doubt. Don't worry about AP rankings, they are meaningless as far as I am concerned. Tennessee would be the third or fourth best team in the Big 10, and Ole Miss is one of the top ten or twelve teams in the country. Hugh Freeze has been bringing wang-whippers to Oxford for a few years now.

The broadcasters doing the Northwestern game may be the worst I've heard in years

Not too many big games today...but this Illini-Michigan game could get really, really ugly.

Harbaugh.....up 41-8, 2 minutes to go in the fourth quarter in Illini territory, arguing the spotting of the ball on a fourth down.....gets a first down, and then takes a knee...I like it. He's not being a dick, but doing things the right way.

Texas nips Baylor. Couldn't happen to a nicer school.

Any school out of the top 2 is a risk to get beaten on the road against a decent program. There's a drop off. Clemson has their hands full right now.

Great defensive battle so far between LSU and Bama.

Is the LSU coach related to Mike Tice? He sounds like him and acts like a huge meathead

So 3 unsportsmanlike conduct penalties on Alabama and 1 on LSU leads to them being offsetting?

Insane.

Iowa State v Kansas today in Lawrence.

I know they did away with the tie, but maybe they could just not play the game and give both teams a loss instead?

Do even the players' parents care about that one?

I can't believe Penn State now has an outside chance of being in the playoffs. Earlier this year they were talking about firing Franklin and now they are probably going to be ranked 8th.

PSU in the playoffs and a Trump victory in the span of two months could put Score afternoon drive over the edge

Bears fire Fox and re-hire Ditka, and Bernstein's nightmare is complete.
