anytime ohio state embarrasses themselves on a big stage, i'm happy. but it's also annoying that they keep getting into this position. they're just not that good.

the playoff is a good idea but this was a bad example of it. neither game was competitive.

It's that day of the year where we see how the Big 10 does today, 2 are dogs in Penn State and Iowa and Wisconsin around an 8 point favorite over undefeated Western Michigan.

Lee Corso already talking how Penn State needs to carry the Big 10 after Ohio State and Michigan lost.

While neither semi-final was competitive, I think both losers absolutely had the best case to be there over any other team, including Penn State. I'm worried the "lesson" of this year is that it becomes a norm that you have to win your conference to qualify. Besides the fact that no one would be screaming out for Alabama's exclusion if they had lost the SEC championship, this would also absolutely kill any incentive for Power 5 schools to schedule meaningful games prior to the start of conference play.

I don't know what to think of the Cotton Bowl, I know score wise it was close, but seemed like Wisconsin won that game by more than 8
