Not strange at all. I agree completely.

Now that we got that out of the way. Give me your thoughts on the hire
This will be a strange answer but a great hire at a place like Purdue but only a good one at Indiana. They shoot higher than a Dayton coach.

Better or worse than Painter?

I'd want him if Painter was fired. I think Painter and him should compete well against each other.

Is Painter getting any heat for the blow out loss?

Not much. There are the same idiots that wanted him gone all season. Most like him and want to see what he is able to do. He's still pretty young.

If they have a down year after next year then he will have heat. They should still be good next year unless there are transfers even with Swanigan gone.

Ah those people are idiots. Painter is a good coach. You guys would be hard pressed to get someone better if he leaves or you fire him

He has to do better in the NCAA tournament though.

I think this is a very solid hire, with a chance to be a real good one. As RFDC said, he has to get back to getting top in state talent to stay or even look at the program.

Read a rumor that said John Groce maybe a part of Millers staff. Guess they were on the same staff at Ohio St and are good friends.

I also wonder if you get to a point, where a guy has been there long enough you just want change for just a change, really in all the years, had 1 year where you thought Purdue had a chance at the title or at least Final 4, that was the year Robbie Hummel got hurt.
