Certainly doesn’t look that way. Worst team in school history.

They picked the wrong Public league player last year. For once a Simeon player that was going to go to U of I is actually good.

6'10 290 4-star C who UConn was hot after. I'll take the one and done.

If they win their next 6 in a row they will finish the regular season above .500 :? They've had some nice wins this year but still missing some pieces.
Really would like to see them make the NCAA tournament soon.

Illini wrapping up rest of Big 10 season. I expect any run in the conference tournament to be short. Not sure you can take a lot of positives away from this season other than a couple of decent wins against Maryland and Michigan State. Say something nice about this team to cheer me up as I look elsewhere for teams to hitch my wagon to for the NCAA. Aaron Jordan is the only Senior on this team. From the little I saw there were some flashes from players like Dosunmu, Frazier and B-villi. Really hoped I would see more out of Nichols and Williams.

If Ayo is back next year, they'll be much better. They seemed to learn how to win in the second half of the season. B-villi will get better, too. He progressed nicely this season. We also have Kofi Cockburn coming in. Underwood finally has the kinds of players he wants. They should be more than watchable next season.

It's been a difficult few years. But I'll tell you this, T-Bone; the Illini are a lot closer than the goddamn White Sox. Be glad you are not a fan of them, too.

Yeah they did. I am hopeful they can sneak into the big dance...I think they could be a dangerous team to face.

If they are playing well again--I mean, they've beat some good teams this year. That mid-year slump was a killer...

By sneaking I assume you mean they win the Big 10 Tournament. No chance they get an at large bid.

You must not be paying attention then...they have a shot at a bid without winning the Big 10 tourney. They have 6 quadrant I wins....way more than any other bubble team. If they win against Rutgers and get a win in the big 10 tourney they will be in position to maybe sneak in.

They have beaten some top teams. However, they are 7-12 in conference play and currently sit 9th in the Big 10. I just don’t see it without a big tourney run.

The selection committee does not look at conference records. I am not saying they will make it....but they have a shot.

Ayo and B-zilli have played well. But losing to Penn State twice in one season (I was at the loss in Champaign) makes it just really difficult to see one's way out.

They are closer to respectability than the football team, which isn't saying a whole hell of a lot.

Are you nuts?

They have no chance.

Even with a good tournament run, which won't happen.
