scored a last minute invite yesterday to the Hawks exec's luxury box. Pretty cool considering it's a dry event...unless you are in a luxury box. Me and my buddy spend the day and night smuggling cans of beers to our friends sitting down in the 100 level. Glad I got to go to one of these in person after watching it on tv for years. Great atmosphere and really liked seeing all the different fans with their college sweaters on. Think I saw just about every D1 school represented by at least one jersey. The hockey was entertaining. UMD scored with 28 seconds left to take a 2-1 lead on Harvard and then Harvard dinged the crossbar twice in the final 8 second. Unbelievable. the second game was men vs boys as #1 Denver demolished Notre Dame. Never seen such domination in such a setting. ND literally could not get the puck out of its own end for most of the game. Championship game Saturday. First time in history the #1 and #2 team in the country will meet for the title. |
